An International Relations Scholar, Dr. Femi Aribisala has called on Nigerians to retire President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming elections.
Aribisala who made the call while speaking at the 10th Anniversary colloquium of the Magazine Financial Nigeria held at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua centre, Abuja said President Buhari was a Head of State 39 years ago and that it was high time he retired from office.
The Scholar who called for the entire cabinet of President Buhari to be retired observed that Audu Ogbe, the minister of agriculture was a minister in the second republic and should no longer be in office.
Aribisala who said we should get rid of the entire leadership of Nigeria said Nigerians should vote in a leadership that would project the image of Nigeria.
He expressed concern that President Buhari disparages Nigerians by calling Nigerians youths as being lazy and those Nigerian women should remain in the kitchen.
Another speaker at the event Dr. Muhammed Pate who was one time minister of state for health said for Nigeria to make progress the country needs to address the issue of poverty among other things.
Another speaker Arshad Rab also highlighted issues that would help the nation move forwards.
Other speakers at the event were Dr. Kole Shetimma, Chairman of Fiscal Reponsibility Commission Victor Muruako among others.
